Hi everybody,

I've three friends, which try to access my emby library from their homes.

It looks like they are not able to get more than 3mbit without stuttering.

My server has i7 3.5 Ghz and a GTX1060 which is able to transcode 4k to 1080p in realtime, say 45fps. or 1080p 20mbit to 1080p 6mbit with 150fps.

My ISP gives me an upload speed of 50 mbit.

Is there anybody who is able to stream say 10mbit to a FireTV client over the internet, and this person is happy watching?

any suggestions?

bye Michael

Hi.  Yes, I can do this but I have a 1Gb fiber connection at the server end.  Your ISP is advertising "up to" 50Mb/s upload speeds but this may or may not work out to be anything close to real available throughput.

Yes. My connection is 400/40. I have set the streaming bitrate at the server to 15mbit/s.

The user with firetv is streaming mostly live tv with bitrates over 10mbit/s.

just to add my two cents, my server isn't in my home its in a datacenter.   All of my TV's with the exception of my home theater are the 4k firetv sticks, and I can stream 60mbps with no issues.   Are you sure your server has enough "upstream" bandwidth?
