fire TV stick force transcode for hevc?

Hello,

 

In first, I'm sorry for my english, I work on it.

 

I use a Fire tv stick, and I install the emby app, everything work except when I want stream a 4k hevc movie.

I know that the fire tv stick can't decode hevc, so I want to transcode with this type of video.

 

When I launch a 4k movie, I check the web interface of the server at the same time and I see that the server begin in direct play, then nvenc dec then direct play etc... and at the end emby launch nothing with the message: too many error giving up.

If I use kodi and the kodi emby plugin Where I choose in the parameter to transcode hevc it's work perfectly.

If I choose the max bitrate to 5 Mbits/sec max it's ok.

 

I want to know if it's possible to force transcode for hevc in emby fire tv app like in the kodi emby plugin?

Ah - I see what it is.  It is the resolution.

 

The beta version of the app should correct this (by transcoding it down to 1080).
