Brayds 0 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I'm running a unraid server with radarr, sonarr, and nzbget as docker containers and Emby server running in a Server 2019 VM. Everything has worked well for a few months now, but recently I noticed it seems to be ignoring the movies library. There are 10+ movies missing all downloaded recently. Radarr recognizes them as downloaded, and TV episodes are no problem. When I manually execute a scan I don't see a progress bar like I have in the past, but I do with the TV library. My storage space is almost full but I don't see why this would affect library scans. Folder structure goes m:\movies\[movie name]\movie.mkv or m:\tv\tv show name\season\episode.mkv (Actual /mnt/user/media/movies or /mnt/user/media/tv) Folder permissions for m:\movies or m:\tv is drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users Folder permissions for movie name or tv name folders: drwxr-xr-x 1 nobody users File permission for actual media files: -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody users I haven't ever needed to change any permissions. There are a few random folders/files that have different permissions, but have already been scanned into the libraries. The new media that is missing has the same permissions as the bulk of my library. I attached two logs for executing a scan on the movie library alone and executing a scan on all libraries. The server was near idle when I grabbed these logs. No one was watching any media. embyServerLog-AllManualScan.txt embyServerLog-MovieOnlyManualScan.txt
Luke 42081 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Hi there, can you please go over an example? Did you check the permissions recursively?
Brayds 0 Posted February 29, 2020 Author Posted February 29, 2020 Hi there, can you please go over an example? Did you check the permissions recursively? Yes I did check the permissions for each level of the folder structure. The permissions for the new movies do not differ from what has already been scanned into the library.
Brayds 0 Posted March 1, 2020 Author Posted March 1, 2020 can you please go over an example? Pearl Harbor was recently downloaded by nzbget and scanned into radarr but is not showing in emby libraries. The folder permissions for the movie (/mnt/user/media/movies/Pearl Harbor (2001)): drwxr-xr-x 1 nobody users 97 Feb 25 09:42 Pearl\ Harbor\ (2001)/ The File persmissions for the mkv file: -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody users 21G Jan 25 2014 Pearl\ Harbor.2001.mkv A Few weeks back Furious 7 was downloaded by nzbget and scanned into radarr and shows up in my emby library The Folder permissions for the movie folder (/mnt/user/media/moves/Furious 7 (2015)) drwxr-xr-x 1 nobody users 172 Feb 9 21:25 Furious\ 7\ (2015)/ The file permissions for the mkv file: -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody users 11G May 21 2015 Furious\ 7.2015.mkv In other words file and folder permissions are the same whether it has been scanned into library or not. The Good doctor Season 3 Episode 10 was downloaded recently and has been scanned into the emby library File Permissions: -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody users 2.0G Dec 3 01:03 The.Good.Doctor.S03E10.1080p.WEB.H264-MEMENTO.mkv Season folder permissions: drwxr-xr-x 1 nobody users 8.0K Feb 27 02:00 Season\ 3/ TV Show Folder permissions: drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 267 Dec 14 20:01 The\ Good\ Doctor/ Hope this is what you meant by example.
Luke 42081 Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Have you made sure the emby system user can see the file? You can find help on that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/32218-file-permissions-guide-for-new-linux-users/?view=getnewpost
