Cannot use media center zoom since updating

The new interface looks great, but I have a problem with removing bars in 4:3 movies.  In the old interface, I simply pressed info button on wmc remote, which brought up the wmc info screen, scrolled to zoom, then selected to remove bars.  In new interface, I cannot access the wmc info screen.  Any work around for this problem, or am I stuck watching small video in middle of screen?

the new interface, beautiful as it is, does have some missing features from the standard wmc player that it replaces.. one of those features are the zoom options you mention. 

 

to work around it for now:

 

simply enter the mbc menu and find the option to disable the new playback interface.. once that has been unchecked you'll have the standard "blue buttons" of the wmc player and you're zoom feature will be back as expected.

 

 

long-term, ebr knows about this and the other things and will investigate how/if its possible to re-builld them from scratch into his new player in the future.

Thanks for the info on this.  I noticed this as well, I can't hit the aspect on screen button on my Harmony One to adjust it any more and I used it frequently to get rid of the black bars.  I'll turn off the new video player when I get home from work.

Thanks for the information.  Didn't know if this was a problem with others, but it apparently is.  I'll use the fix and look forward to seeing the new interface with this option.

I've just logged on to report this.

 

I really like the look of the new feature but it's being a royal pain in the backside. Same issues as posted above, but I now also seem to have issues playing DVD rips which I've kept the DVD structure. Can't seem to get past the menu. Anybody else getting this.
