dannymichel 104 Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 So most of my remuxes at bitrates over 20mbps show artifacts and/or skip around on plex/jellyfin on direct stream chrome, but they play perfectly fine on emby. Not sure what emby does differently, but am glad you guys do.

JaScoMa 34 Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 I switched to Emby after Plex started playing videos at the bitrate and resolution which Plex thought your hardware could handle.It would play the videos in HD fine, then they did this update and it would actually cut back to 480/720. I had to start a video, pause it then tell Plex to play the video at the highest available bitrate. It still played the videos fine, but having to do this for every video, every time you wanted to watch a movie, it got to be a pain. Switched to Emby and haven't looked back.
