emby no longer appears on taskbar

emby no longer appears on taskbar in version 4.3.1

 

it used to appear in the taskbar as a running program which could access the dashboard but now it doesnt show  in windows 10 and no i dont have emby running as a service which i understand would hide the icon

 

dashboard only appears on windows startup,through my browser, but if i close the browser I must manually  type in the server address in the browser to bring up the dashboard as there is no access on the taskbar any longer

 

the icon that used to appear is gone and eve though emby is indeed running there is no active icon and i see no setting to get it back 

 

 

 

this is all I see in the active tasks. the server is running. I can access my media on both my pc and tablets but many of the files are not playing reporting "too many errors giving up" even though they play fine when accessed through windows

Hi.  If you bring up task manager, do you see the process "embytray.exe" running?

I have noticed this too. I believe it actually started before 4.3.1, but before the update sometimes the icon would appear again if I closed another application in the tray. Now it just never appears. Embytray.exe is definitely running. No problems with any functionality other than having to use the dashboard for exiting and restarting. This is on Win10 pro 1909.
