Alter Latest Media to show TV Show EPISODES?

Hi, potential Plex refugee here .. first post ... thanks for having me ...

 

I did search the forums first and did a fair amount of digging on my own to try and find this solution.

 

I'm interested in having Latest Media show the new TV show EPISODES that are new; not just "which TV shows have new episodes".  I realize that if you've missed more than one episode, keeping that TV show "front and center" with a single row entry is valuable - but that isn't typically my daily driver type work flow.

 

I would prefer to see the episodes that are new, not the show's top level icon.  I do realize that if you go into Latest TV Shows you get the Latest Episodes as I'm requesting - but I would prefer that to be the default view of Latest TV Shows.

 

Any help is appreciated!

Hi, there's currently no option for this, but have you checked out the next up feature we have for TV?

Once I get acclimatized and start using Emby as a daily driver, that might take care of the issue.  Unfortunately, I don't think that would be exactly the same - since if I watch something "old", then the NEXT UP version of that would appear in the left most position, where as a new but unwatched episode would appear to the right.

 

I'll mess with it some more.  I'm curious about the choice for doing this - as both Kodi and Plex do "latest episodes" UIs.

It's mainly to group them so that if you import lots of episodes for one series at a time, you don't see them all individually.
