darkassassin07 653 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Well here's a first for me: I just had the stable server lock up on me and had to exit (via tray icon worked, I didn't have to force stop) and restart it. I was streaming Jeff Dunham: Beside Himself from my windows server (v4.3.1.0) to Emby theater for Xbone (v.1.1.298.70) and had my Emby for Android client (v3.1.00) connected as a remote when, aprox 9min to the end of the file, playback froze. I exited playback and tried to play again but just got an infinite loading circle of doom. Refreshed the android client and got the same, so I moved to the server machine: Chrome > localhost:8096 > "refused to connect". Emby server was still running but using no cpu according to task manager. The last line written to the log file was around 2 min before I moved to testing on the server machine and was not writing new lines when I tried to connect with chrome. Reasonably sure I was the only one connected at the time. For reference 192.168.0.70 is the android client, and 192.168.0.112 is the xbone in the log. After restarting the server I've re-connected the same clients and resumed playback. All seems well for the time being. I'll let ya know if it stays that way. embyserver.txt
Luke 42085 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 There's nothing obvious here so i guess let's see if it happens again. Thanks.
darkassassin07 653 Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) I just had this happen again: Same single xbox one client streaming on LAN; playback froze, stopped and hit play again but just got a loading wheel. Checked task manager on the server and embytray.exe was still running, but embyserver wasn't. Stopped that and started the server again, back up and running for now. log attached. emby for xbox one v1.1.307.70 emby server v4.4.2.0 embyserver.txt Edited April 24, 2020 by darkassassin07
darkassassin07 653 Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Not that I'm aware of, and I've been streaming alot of content to that client lately with all the extra time off. I'll playback the exact file that was playing during the crash and see what happens. Let ya know in a couple hours.
darkassassin07 653 Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Well managed to play the full file this time, I also played another movie right after that in the same session. I haven't had an issue so-far. These server crashes seem to be out of the blue :/ I've only had the two so far, so I'll keep reporting if I have more. Anything in particular I can do to help pin this down other than just provide the server log?
Luke 42085 Posted May 9, 2020 Posted May 9, 2020 The server log is still best, and also check windows event viewer.
