sugarat 5 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Hi there, My Embyserver has recently stopped adding new content into my movie library. I removed the library folder and added it again, but now nothing is seen by Emby at all. The embyserver.txt log file says that the Scan media library operation completed after 0 minutes and 0 seconds. Emby is running in a Docker container on OpenMediaVault. I have confirmed that the container has full access to the directory where the content is locted. In this instance, it is mounted under /mnt/media in the container, and emby has full write access to it. Log file attached. Many thanks!! ** Update ** I have attempted to remove Docker from the equation and have installed the latest Debian package of Emby, running naked on OpenMediaVault. I am seeing the same behaviour. When I browse to the directory, it instantly says scan completed in 0 minutes, 0 seconds, and no movies are listed: 2020-02-15 13:33:14.991 Info TaskManager: Scan media library Completed after 0 minute(s) and 0 seconds 2020-02-15 13:33:18.364 Info HttpServer: HTTP POST http://xerxes:8096/emby/Library/VirtualFolders/LibraryOptions. sugarat 5 Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 I just realised that the end of the above post is badly worded. I still have the issue.
Solution sugarat 5 Posted February 15, 2020 Author Solution Posted February 15, 2020 I have now resolved this issue. Even though the permissions on the containing directory were correct, forcing a chmod 777 on the it has allowed Emby to index the subfolders. Weird. 1
