Fast Forward does not work on Chromecast

I am so glad to see someone else having this issue. I'm not sure why I've never bothered to report it before. This has been bothering me for at least over a year now.

I bet there isn't a single show, movie, recording, etc. That this hasn't happened at least once to me, if not multiple times. It doesn't seem to be a certain file type, a certain version of the app, or anything. I've rebuilt my server from scratch multiple times, got new phones, etc. And nothing has ever changed.

It does seem to happen more often if I hit the fwd or rwd button close together, but sometimes it happens first time too. I can provide my server details and logs tomorrow if need be, but it's been a problem for over a year now, so I don't think it's version specific. Something I have learned that helps is if I ask Google Home to fast forward living room TV 2 minutes, it has never retstarted like that. It seems to only be when casted to Chromecast and using the fwd and rwd buttons in the remote control.

Is there any specific information that would be helpful to you?

Edit: I'm sorry, just realized this was for Android TV not Chromecast. It's the same issue though, but I use Chromecast exclusively. Is there somewhere else you would rather me start a thread for it, or keep it here sense it seems to be related?
