I got a new video card GTX 1650 and i'm trying hardware transcoding and no matter what i do it seems to use the cpu

these files have no subtitles so i thought it would use the GTX and not the cpu

here are my settings

hi there

I guess i'm having trouble understanding how to set it up

I thought all you needed was the proper hardware and to enable it

I do have the latest drivers which it recommends other then that i'm at a loss of what to do to get it to work

Why do you feel something is wrong?

I attached an image during a  conversion i just attempted   looks to me it's using the CPU

I'm trying to figure how to setup and get it to use my GPU Which I think Emby supports

so i must have a missed a step

is the log for conversion  just the emby server log?

MisterAngelus

no it must be the emby trascode.txt it just created when i started it to give you a fresh log

do you have a preferred length i let this convert  before stopping it to give you enough information

Yes just the transcode log, no preferred lenght.

Ok this is 10-bit content. This should be improved with the next release. Thanks.

hmm I didnt know that I thought it was 8-bit

according to the emby web interface

Color space bt709

Color transfer bt709

Bit depth8 bit

Pixel formatyuv420p

Ref frames1 NAL4

but if it's 10 that would explain it

Sorry, my mistake. I think you're right. There's a lot of hardware transcoding improvements coming in the next release that may help with this. @@softworkz can take a look.

This is a bug that is fixed in the upcoming release. Sorry for the inconvenience.
