Emby theater (Windows) requiring premiere on home network?

Newbie here- sorry if this is a repeat. I have Emby server on my home desktop. No Premiere currently. I can access my media on my phone android app and my laptop through the Emby web app. However, when I try to use Emby Theater on my laptop I am prompted to upgrade to Premiere. I am not using a VPN on any of these devices.

My impression is that I should be able to access my media from within my home network with no problem without a premiere subscription. Am I wrong or is there a setting I need to look at? I was planning to buy a roku today but I'm afraid the Emby app won't work on there since theater isn't working on my laptop. Seems strange that my phone app is working though.

Hi.  We work very hard on Emby and cannot provide everything for free (although we do provide an awful lot).
