Which NAS would be better?

Hi,

I’m thinking of installing a 4-bay NAS to install Emby Server onto.

Now I have found these 2 for a reasonable price but I don’t know which one to chose.

- Synology RS816

- QNAP TS-469U

Anyone that can help me chose?

@@DaSilva Though I'm a big fan of Synology (all my NAS boxes are), but comparing these I'd go for the QNAP with it's dual core Intel CPU and upgradable memory to 3GB as opposed to the Marvell Armada and the 1GB the Synology has... The rest is pretty much the same thing

Agree, the Intel will definitely help when/if you need to transcode.

 

I like Synology too, but when comparing you should find one with similar specs first.
