I searched the forum but could not find a direct answer.

Is there a way to change the folder where the "Thumbnail images interval" files are stored ?

You have two options, with media or centrally in the \metadata\library\ folder.

Change only applies to new media, uncheck "Save thumbnail images into media folders" per library.

 

You would have to manually Delete all existing bif files in you media folders.

I should of explored the UI a little more before posting.
