Well here's my problem, how do I register if I have a premium lifetime license with MCM? I only have access to the indexer using their software. I've never registered on the indexer website since it's closed, on invite only.

Speak to Pete.

Ya, I think don't think MCM allows use of it's indexer.

The only API key is for NZB.su...but that is addition to the checkboxes for the MCM indexer.

You need to register an account on the MCM indexer and then you'll get an API key.

You may have to make a donation to become a fully fledged index member, like I did ;)

NzbDrone is being renamed to sonarr.

Posted

Uhh... Okay but that name bears pretty much no relation to what the product does.  Yes, I read their explanation but I just don't buy it.

"Narr" in Swedish means fool, jester or harlequin. That'll be difficult to get off the tongue ;-)

God that's a crap name. Was there a reason they didn't go with the obvious choice, MediaDrone?

hello, just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this thread, i've previously used mcm but following this i've successfully got nzbdrome and sabnzdb all working. using supernews and nzbgeek as my sources, hoping for pete to get back to me on the mcm indexer.

the one thing i always asked for in mcm was a web interface and now i have one with other features to boot. cheers!

So I finally got around to installing this today. Seems to work well though I can't figure out how to get sorting and renaming the way I want. Also it is not placing the files in the series folders to the correct season, it just places the file in the root tv directory within a created folder of the same file name. And it doesn't rename at all and this is the naming setup I have:

Single Episode Example

Series Title (2010) S01E01 Episode Title (1)

Thanks gentleman for the guides I will take a look. I appreciate it.

Using season folders is an option you had to select in there somewhere...

I hope this helps! You can select to use season folders when you first add the series to sonarr. Otherwise, it can be done individually by selecting the series via the Series tab and selecting settings:

If you want to change the option in bulk, you will need to navigate to Series Editor by clicking the Series tab:

I checked a bunch of my series and that option is already selected. I didn't have time this weekend to take a look at those guys, but I'll look through them tomorrow.

Wonder maybe if it is some permissions issue. I noticed that section in settings.

So my main issue was leaving Drone Factory Options - Drone Factory path blank. All is working now :)

So I think I may of made the jump!   Last night on a whim I decided to load up Sonarr again, let it update, and then went through it and got the shows up to date from the last time I tried (maybe two months ago).   Not sure what changed in the last two months with the torrent build, but I ran a few manual tests and I was just really impressed at how easily it downloaded both via torrents and nzbs and it seems to be doing what I want.  I turned the auto search back on and turned of SB, so we'll see how it goes!

There are updates almost every day to the develop branch, but I don't use the torrent branch so not sure how often that gets updated.

Glad to hear more people have switched.

Anyone other than me switched from SABNZBD to NZBGET?

What would you say are the benefits?

A good question.

I have thought about switching back to SABNZBD a few times, but NZBGET does the job and the developer(s) are very active on the forums, so problems are quickly fixed.

I believe it runs on more platforms than SABNZBD does, but not totally sure.
