CBers 7450 Posted October 11, 2014 Author Posted October 11, 2014 @@CBers Well here's my problem, how do I register if I have a premium lifetime license with MCM? I only have access to the indexer using their software. I've never registered on the indexer website since it's closed, on invite only. Speak to Pete.
AgileHumor 123 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Ya, I think don't think MCM allows use of it's indexer. The only API key is for NZB.su...but that is addition to the checkboxes for the MCM indexer.

You may have to make a donation to become a fully fledged index member, like I did 1
AgileHumor 123 Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 Ahhh, a asked Pete for an invite/settings. Thanks! 1
CBers 7450 Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 NzbDrone is being renamed to sonarr.
ebr 16169 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Uhh... Okay but that name bears pretty much no relation to what the product does. Yes, I read their explanation but I just don't buy it.
saitoh183 137 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 As long as it does what it does...i couldnt care less for what its called 1
politby 88 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) "Narr" in Swedish means fool, jester or harlequin. That'll be difficult to get off the tongue ;-) Edited October 24, 2014 by politby
swhitmore 781 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 (edited) God that's a crap name. Was there a reason they didn't go with the obvious choice, MediaDrone? Edited October 24, 2014 by swhitmore
Spaceboy 2573 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 hello, just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this thread, i've previously used mcm but following this i've successfully got nzbdrome and sabnzdb all working. using supernews and nzbgeek as my sources, hoping for pete to get back to me on the mcm indexer. the one thing i always asked for in mcm was a web interface and now i have one with other features to boot. cheers!
fantaxp7 191 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 So I finally got around to installing this today. Seems to work well though I can't figure out how to get sorting and renaming the way I want. Also it is not placing the files in the series folders to the correct season, it just places the file in the root tv directory within a created folder of the same file name. And it doesn't rename at all and this is the naming setup I have: Single Episode Example Series Title (2010) S01E01 Episode Title (1)
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) You can check this guide to help you configure sonarr correctly. https://forums.sonarr.tv/t/beginners-guide-for-setting-up-nzbdrone-work-in-progress/1220? Edited November 15, 2014 by Angelblue05 1

fantaxp7 191 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Thanks gentleman for the guides I will take a look. I appreciate it.
ebr 16169 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Using season folders is an option you had to select in there somewhere...
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) I hope this helps! You can select to use season folders when you first add the series to sonarr. Otherwise, it can be done individually by selecting the series via the Series tab and selecting settings: If you want to change the option in bulk, you will need to navigate to Series Editor by clicking the Series tab: Edited November 15, 2014 by Angelblue05 1
fantaxp7 191 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I checked a bunch of my series and that option is already selected. I didn't have time this weekend to take a look at those guys, but I'll look through them tomorrow. Wonder maybe if it is some permissions issue. I noticed that section in settings.
fantaxp7 191 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 So my main issue was leaving Drone Factory Options - Drone Factory path blank. All is working now 2
DGMayor 90 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 So I think I may of made the jump! Last night on a whim I decided to load up Sonarr again, let it update, and then went through it and got the shows up to date from the last time I tried (maybe two months ago). Not sure what changed in the last two months with the torrent build, but I ran a few manual tests and I was just really impressed at how easily it downloaded both via torrents and nzbs and it seems to be doing what I want. I turned the auto search back on and turned of SB, so we'll see how it goes! 1
CBers 7450 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 There are updates almost every day to the develop branch, but I don't use the torrent branch so not sure how often that gets updated. Glad to hear more people have switched. Anyone other than me switched from SABNZBD to NZBGET?
DGMayor 90 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Still using Sab and still prefer it. The one thing I'm going to miss though switching from SB is having https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/sickbeardconnect/ljfjkhejnkopmfdadafjoklibhggokpb .
CBers 7450 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 What would you say are the benefits? A good question. I have thought about switching back to SABNZBD a few times, but NZBGET does the job and the developer(s) are very active on the forums, so problems are quickly fixed. I believe it runs on more platforms than SABNZBD does, but not totally sure.

Spaceboy 2573 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 I'm using sab on my synology now. Works well!
