MB for IOS Screen Saver Lock

MB for IOS is very cool and I like the look so far....

 

My main purpose for it right now is streaming videos over wifi to my apple TV at the moment using AirPlay.  I was using AirVideo for this but would prefer to have everything under MB if possible.

 

After starting to play the show and putting the phone down with MB, eventually the phone's screen goes dark due to the power saving configuration.  When this happens, the TV stops playing.  This doesn't happen with AirVideo.

 

Is it possible to add a feature to prevent the screen saver from kicking in while video is playing in MB for IOS?

This could be interesting... 

I'm not sure since it's using the native player if MB client would control this but I would add this as a request in github: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/MediaBrowser.iOS

Thanks for reporting that. I never tested that behavior. I will look into it in the next update.

It works fine with AirVideo so there has to be some way of accomplishing this.  Ok I added to github.  Thanks.

The same issue exists when streaming music and the phone goes into powersave mode (ios7.0.4).

My wife has now been using this now and just disables her screen saver and it works fine.

Any word on this i would love to be able to stream podcast and music to my iphone with the screen locked?
