ryzilla 13 Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Hey Team Quick question im moving away from a pc (4 disks) to a synology and a new pc for emby to run on and do a few other things. As i have a backup when i restore to the new server all the file paths will change, will i lose all my watched counts etc? As all my libraries will go from say e:\xxx f:\xxx to \\192.xx and movies etc will move around. is there a trick to do this with out losing this info or does it do it by default? Cheers RZ

Cheers RZ There is no real way to restore across different OSes. Ideally you would use the Server Configuration Backup plugin and only restore Users and Userdata.

Luke 42080 Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Why do you say that? the backup plugin can help you restore that across different operating systems.
