Sometimes now playing backdrop does not work

This has been the case forever for me. Sometimes when a video is playing from MBC, then I press the back button there is no now playing backdrop and no icon to return to what is playing. It does not happen at all times just random. Has this happened to anyone?

 

Re-launching  MBC fixes it.
