Server IP address and Emby Connect

When using app.emby.media not on my home network after I login I don't see my server, I have to type in the external address manually from my phone (which has been logged in at my home address)

 

 

If I click on Sign in with Emby Connect and I get taken to the same screen.

 

I thought the idea of emby connect was to keep the settings and let me login wherever I am, correct me if I am wrong?
