Luke 42079 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Hi there, what do you mean by audio codec failed?
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 (edited) Hi there, what do you mean by audio codec failed? Thank you luke for your response. My issue is the following : I have exactly the same movie on 2 different servers. When I play the movie with chrome via server 1, the movie is transcoded because it tells me that there is a problem with the audio codec If I play this same movie on server 2, the movie is live stream and there is no codec problem. why server 1 transcode? i prefer direct stream I ask where the problem may come from. Thank you Edited February 5, 2020 by Nostromo86
ebr 16184 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Hi. Are you playing them from the exact same browser on the same machine? Please provide the information requested in How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 Yes same machine, same chrome https://ibb.co/W5M2CxF I send log in few hours Hi. Are you playing them from the exact same browser on the same machine? Please provide the information requested in How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Luke 42079 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 why server 1 transcode? i prefer direct stream Hi there, did you explore the stats feature in the video player to learn why it was transcoding?
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 5, 2020 Author Posted February 5, 2020 Hi, Yes see bellow SERVER 1 SERVER 2 Stats for geek on 2 server https://ibb.co/W5M2CxF thx
ebr 16184 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 So does that answer your question? I don't think so as his question is why is the audio codec incompatible when coming from server 1 but the container incompatible when coming from server 2? That's got me a bit puzzled as well as the target system is the same (supposedly)...
Luke 42079 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Can you provide log file examples for both? Thanks.
ebr 16184 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Also - are there differences in the media info on the detail screen for this item in server 1 vs. server 2? This almost has to be a difference in the way the two servers are probing or ingesting the item somehow. Are they on different platforms (OS)?
Happy2Play 9781 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 (edited) Stats for geek on 2 server https://ibb.co/W5M2CxF thx Looking at this images Server 1 would appear to have a 2Mbps bitrate limit so video is transcoded. Edited February 5, 2020 by Happy2Play
ebr 16184 Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Looking at this images Server 1 would appear to have a 2Mbps bitrate limit so video is transcoded. Ahhhh... nice catch. And the transcode reason is just wrong.
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) Looking at this images Server 1 would appear to have a 2Mbps bitrate limit so video is transcoded. thanks for the information How can we remove the limit? Here the log server Server1 https://pastebin.com/XWrNKaJ0 Server 2 https://pastebin.com/RWWGbLSa Thx Edited February 6, 2020 by Nostromo86
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) I thought it was because I didn't have a sound card. I installed a virtual voice meter card but the problem is still there Edited February 6, 2020 by Nostromo86
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 (edited) Hi, Locally on server 1 with chrome it works That means it doesn't work remotely but why that work on server 2 Edited February 6, 2020 by Nostromo86
ebr 16184 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 thanks for the information How can we remove the limit? Hi. Are you sure you didn't enter a limit of 2Mb/s in the "internet streaming bitrate limit" field in the server configuration? That's what it looks like is happening.
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 Hi. Are you sure you didn't enter a limit of 2Mb/s in the "internet streaming bitrate limit" field in the server configuration? That's what it looks like is happening. Nop
ebr 16184 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Perhaps the connection to that server is limited. What is the quality setting in the browser? If it is "Auto" try setting it to something fixed.
Nostromo86 17 Posted February 6, 2020 Author Posted February 6, 2020 Okay, I put 1080 60Mbps instead of Auto and its works. But i prefer set auto by defaut for my user. You think its a bug?
Happy2Play 9781 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I believe there have been reported issues with Auto on users LAN, but I haven't experienced it. To me this would all have to come back to network connectivity.
Luke 42079 Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Auto on the lan will always attempt the maximum amount. Auto on WAN will generally be on the conservative side.
