Files Software Transcoding not HW

Hi Everyone,

 

Having a strange issue were a file I watch will, software trans code when watching via the web browser... but if I play on another device say a SHIELD or Fire Stick it will HW transcode?

 

Any ideas, Happy to provide logs if someone can tell me which log files I need to attach...

@@ebr sorry I am mistaken it direct plays on my server, might be another file... but I still cant understand why that wont HW transcode? can you see anything in the logs.

 

If not I'll have to find another example tonight.

It's hard to say from that log, but there's a good chance it will be improved with the next release as there are major changes related to hardware transcoding.

Thanks Luke, are these changes going to be in 4.4.0? release? anychance there in the beta?

Try to disable H265 hw decoding, at least you will have hw encoding until this issue is fixed.
