Setting up TV directories and filenames

So I have a tv show that has three season with unique specials for each season. In reading the doc I see that TV can have Season 0, Season 00, or Specials.  The placement of  Season 0/00 seems straightforward under the main subdir for the show, but there is no information of placement of Specials. Do I place specials under the appropriate season subdir? If not do I have to put all three season specials under one master subdir? If so, how do I make sure the specials for each season appear in the appropriate context?

Normally, you would have a folder for the TV show and under that sub-folders for each season. One of those sub-folders would be called season 0 or specials for example:

 

NCIS>season 0 or NCIS>specials and the specials live in that folder - assuming that the specials are named in accordance with the TVDB or similar metadata providers. In this way, if you have the show specials within the season order (can't remember the actual name of it) box ticked then you will see the specials in the appropriate place in the order they should be at (except if you use play next up that is!)

Hi.  No, they go in the season 0 or specials folder and then you use the "Airs before" and "Airs after" fields in the metadata editor to have them show in the proper place.
