What you also need to be careful of is that is an 8bit surface. So if you play a 10bit video, it'll look like crap.

I am not convinced that the log shows what the graphics card is doing, only that these parameters were passed to the driver/card.  You should easily be able to see difference between blend and mocomp and there is none.

Also, because my SD material are from DVD, they are 8 bit.

I don't see a difference either. But I have no way to decern if it's a software or device, limitation.

@@Chest Rockwell, I was retesting the Nvidia hardware deinterlacing. It turns out that using it in a profile doesn't work. It has to be used at runtime. So at the top of your mpv.conf. And it works very well.

hwdec=cuda-copy
vd-lavc-o=deint=adaptive

A few changes for deinterlacing are coming. You can follow along, here:

OK, there is a backward way to use this in a profile. It only gets activated when cuda is used, so using cuda-copy in a profile but use the deinterlacing line in the general area will 'enable' it for interlaced media.
