I would like to be able to stream this from Emby through various clients (Mac, AppleTV, iPhone) to an external DAC without transcoding ether at the server or client. Does Emby support this?

mholin 23 Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 this is possible but may require a manuell set up or adjustment of DLNA profiles. I found that older Sonos devices may accept HD media up to 48khz and 24 bit. This is playing well. Higher quality is not played back. My Pioneer receiver is able to playback 192khz or 176khz SACD files. On this I can playback the better quality files.
