New Android bottom overlay menu

So looks like Android mobile has now inherited the Emby iOS bottom overlay menu.

 

Can we have an option to disable please?

 

I'm not really sure why MOVIES gets its own icon in the menu, like its the most important library I want to have -what about if i think MUSIC or TV or MUSIC VIDEOS libraries are more important than MOVIES?

 

I already have a MOVIES library tile entry point on home screen so don't see the point of it.In fact clicking MOVIES actually takes you to the MOVIES library but there is now a drop down showing how to get to the other libraries at the top of the presented screen. So is it really MOVIES or "LIBRARIES"? It's an odd choice.

 

Also DOWNLOADS, I have them switched off by policy. So WHY do I have to contend with a DOWNLOADS option.

 

The Search icon could have gone at top of the screen with the cast and "me" icon.

 

 

Another example of changes being inflicted that aren't really required or wanted by all. More screen estate taken up with waste of time icons for me?

 

Also the library tile icons are suddenly smaller in this release and now the display looks odd. It used to show weight that the library tiles were bigger than dvd covers (for latest content) below it.

 

If you are going to inflict this without prior warning, how about an option to hide it please?

Movies was the first library I had ever created, then TV, then music...just seems odd have entry point for it on that menu as if it was the most important library. An option for "Libraries" which brouhgt up an overlay for picking from a chooser would have been better option. Personally, Id just like to hide the bar as has nothing of use to me.

I would expect that we'll add more control and configuration over the bottom bar in future releases.

The overlay bar is blocking the left and right arrows that used to be there in the channel guide.  My channel guide has a lot of channels and I can no longer go to the next page where all my HD channels are. 

 

(And yes, it is STILL a problem with the iOS version, as I am missing the buttons there as well)

In case anyone else is searching for this, I managed to get back the previous version using Aptoide.

They have version 3.0.87, while apkmirror.com has only up to 3.0.59.
