Can I make a category that does not show in main library?

Hi!

I am a fairly new Emby premiere user, and love the software.  I wanted to make a category containing screeners and other sub-par versions of movies, and have the items in that category not populate the main movies library. Is this possible?  I don't want the main library cluttered with sub-par versions and temporary items, but would like to have a separate category for those.

All help appreciated.

If I am understanding correctly you would have to put those items in their own library.  They would have to have their own folder outside of your main library folder.

Thank you for the reply!

Yes.. That would be fine, but If I set the separate folder to be a "Movies" folder, wouldn't these movies also populate to the library as movies? or would they only be accessible when clicking on that specific icon?

Let's say I make a new library called "Screeners", and mark it as a "movies" library.  Would those movies be added to the main library? or would they appear in a separate "Screener" library?  Will they appear in the "Latest movies" list or have their own? or none?

As long as you are making a new library and not adding the folder to a existing library, each library will be independent of the other.

Remember no library can have a sub-folder of a folder already assigned to a library.

So you can not have x:\movies and x:\movies\screeners assigned in different libraries since x:\movies already covers everything in that folder.

I see.  Thats fine, as I don't need it to be in the same base folder.. I will give it a go..  Thanks for the info.
