FrostByte 5392 Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 That is a lot faster processor than mine and anything you're going to find in a Synology desktop model right now. I assume he's building his own and using xpenology to load DSM https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-i3-9300T-vs-Intel-Celeron-J3355/3509vs2960

fyngd 2 Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 Hi, what do you mean by which core? Which one to choose? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Synology-:-Custom-Package-Architectures-for-XPEnology
FrostByte 5392 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Not really, that processor is a Coffee Lake processor and I'm not seeing it in that table of alternative packages. If I were to guess the sandybridge one may work, but that is really a guess.
Luke 42077 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 @@fyngd can you try the sandybridge package?
fyngd 2 Posted February 2, 2020 Author Posted February 2, 2020 @@fyngd can you try the sandybridge package? I now use DS918 + default EMBY can work normally, I will try sandybridge after work tomorrow night. 1
fyngd 2 Posted February 3, 2020 Author Posted February 3, 2020 Sounds great, thanks ! Both sandybridge and haswell are available. When transcoding five HEVC 1080P movies at the same time, Sandybridge has stopped responding, and Haswell seems to be better.
