chjohans 34 Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 Just picked up an Oculus Go, and it's great for watching movies on a huge screen! Netflix has a native app that works well, so does Amazon Video. Then there is PlexVR for those who has a Plex server. But no EmbyVR for those of us who use Emby. Any chance of seeing EmbyVR for Oculus in the near future? 2

CelticShady 1 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) Hi, it's something that we're interested in for future updates. Thanks for the feedback. You can browse the emby library on oculus browsers as you would on a windows browser by going to http://app.emby.media/#!/home, the only snag is there is no way to watch vr videos in _LR_180 mode or 3d videos in sbs mode. Would be great if there was an option to enter VR mode in the controls, the emby player controls override the oculus browsers controls so you cant change that way For watching standard movies its pretty much perfect as you have the sleek user interface you get on windows Edited April 13, 2020 by CelticShady
gihayes 47 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 You can also watch movies on Emby via Skybox on Oculus. Browse Network on Skybox for Emby DLNA, then connect. If you view a 3D movie, it will play as SBS, or 180, or 360.

slhopkins33 0 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 (edited) I use Emby in the oculus web browser regularly. I like it a lot. I just have an issue where the volume control went away with a recent update. I checked desktop mode and mobile mode but I can't get the volume control to show back up again. Very annoying. If you want to view 3D videos Skybox + Emby DLNA seems to be the best approach, because of the controls mentioned and there seems to be a quality difference. Edited October 2, 2021 by slhopkins33

slhopkins33 0 Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Physical buttons work but not when I'm trying to adjust the volume relative to other browser windows.
