King Pin 34 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 if I have it installed on my Qnap TVS-882T? Second question. Is there another way to regain a password instead of the current way? Can this process be made a little easier for people like me? Maybe a temporary password sent to a folder that I can actually access. I have no idea how to get into my NAS nor am I qualified to do so. I don't know whats happened but after my Windows 10 install none of my passwords worked. So here I am now setting up a new account.
HanYolo 1 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 No you do not need to install emby on your desktop. You should be able to log in via local IP or use emby connect and log into your account if you set it up on your browser. Idk about the other issues you are having. 1

King Pin 34 Posted January 28, 2020 Author Posted January 28, 2020 No I couldn't sign in. I ended up removing Emby from my Qnap and installed it on my Desktop. I use Emby only local throughout the house and my desktop is where I control everything. Not sure if this is the right way or not but it's where I'm at right now.
Luke 42077 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 You could use it on either one. And yes i agree we should find a better folder for the password reset process on QNAP devices. Thanks for the feedback.
