Problem with EMBY server reading NFO

Recommended Posts

Each of my movie files is in a separate folder with the movie name. When the folder contains movie files A.mkv, A.nfo, movie.nfo, emby always reads the information in A.nfo.

For some reason, A.nfo cannot be deleted, but the information is incomplete and movie.nfo is more informative. So most of my movie files are in the folder sat with these two NFO files at the same time.

How can I set it up so that the emby program can first read a file named movie.nfo when reading NFO files or just read movie information from movie.nfo.?

Hi.  Where did "A.nfo" come from?

Get it with the movie file.

When I use KODI, I can set KODI to read movie.nfo information first. I wonder if EMBY has a similar setting. ...

Get it with the movie file.

Okay, so that is your problem.  It doesn't have complete information.  We do not have a setting to read a different file first.  Why obtain that file if it isn't being used?

And why can't you delete it?

Presumably the movies are being sourced from torrents.

Get your media legally and this ceases to be a problem.

Thanks, I'd better delete one of them.
