Problems With Music Library With “Weird Al” Yankovic

Hi,

 

I see “Weird Al” Yankovic has caused a few issues over the years but none that relate to my issue.

 

I have among others the artist “Weird Al” Yankovic in my collection which is causing issues with several clients

 

In Chrome / Android “Weird Al” Yankovic is always shown as the first artist no matter which artist letter I choose “Weird Al” Yankovic is always shown first, this is not a real issue as I can deal with that.

 

With the LG TV App when you click any artist letter nothing is displayed apart from “Weird Al” Yankovic onward so if I click M for artists beginning with M the search just shows “Weird Al” Yankovic onward. the only way is to search manually or scroll down which takes an absolute age.

 

Any fix for this or workarounds?

Ok well that one is obvious, it's due to the quote. So try using the metadata editor to set the sort title on the artist.

Hi, yes I knew it was because of the quote, it's just that is what is automatically pulled and it never did it on Plex or my other media players so wondered if there was another solution.  I will manually edit, thank you

I had to change mine to 'Weird Al' Yankovic awhile back for the same reason

I changed to Weird Al Yankovic and all seems good as well.
