If I'm watching live tv all day, how far back can i rewind?

 

And if i press record after watching for say 2hrs, does it save everything watched in the last 2hrs, just the current program or only from the point record was pressed?

 

How long does it record for before stopping? Forever, just the current program?

1 if playing direct not at all, if playing through the server to the point you started watching or last changed channel

 

2 only from the point record was pressed

 

3 to the end of the current program

How do I know if its playing direct or through the server? What do you mean by this? Sorry, noob!

depends on what app you are watching. on android tv theres an option in the live tv config on the app itself to direct play liv tv (direct from source) or not (builds a buffer in the server). or when the stream is playing directly, you can press pause to switch and turn the buffer on. i think this applies for all the tv apps

 

for the web browser i think most live tv transcodes anyway and is therefore rewindable
