I hope this isn't an inappropriate question, but where do you guys get your tv shows? I've been trying to convert my .wtv files from my WMC dvr to mkv's but the quality always comes out bad. I was hoping I could start purchasing episodes from Amazon and putting them in my collection but of course, that doesn't wok.

thanks

I buy old TV show sets on DVD at the local pawnshop.

Assuming legalities aside. Discussion is OK within limits. I will not use release names or release groups. Just basic information you can use to find tv-shows.

1. Get yourself a Usenet subscription, pay for uber retention.

2. Get a good nzb capable news reader.

3. Find a source for nzb's.

4. Browse a few alt.binaries.* groups.

(ie, replace the * with teevee, boneyard or the-terminal)

I use Astraweb for Usenet. I use binreader as my news reader that supports nzb. I use http://nzbsearch.net to obtain nzb's. This is just my own personal preference speaking, and my decades of internet savvy. Usenet is your friend you never knew you had.
