cd01 8 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) Hello, Documentaries can both be single movies or series, this is a problem in emby. Mixed content isn't showing a nice display of recently added content... if you pick tv shows as content type you cannot add documentary movies covers because they are not found, if you add as movies as content type you cannot add tv serie type documentaries as covers because they are not found. We need a content type that includes both the movie and tv show libraries and allows adding of both. Edited January 8, 2020 by cd01
kodithomson50 1 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) And a "Theme/Holiday" category/library. Winter, Valentine's, St Pat's, Spring Break, Easter, Spring, July 1st/4th / country's birthday, School's out, Summer, Back to School, Fall, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's. As defined by crowd sourcing IMDb lists and Title+Year lists, tailored per server content. If server storage costs would be too great consider using distributed decentralized storage of these incredibly large lists across thousands of users, each contributing say 25-100mb of their HDD to store a redundant piece of these lists as they grow. Similar to IPFS or BTFS, server loads are immensely reduced to miniscule amounts as all the (participating, permissing) clients share the load of both storage and availability. Options to choose between MOVIES, TV EPISODES, or BOTH, would be exceptional. In the case where controversy should exist in future there could be a voting system as per which Holiday tags or metacategories (winter, spring, summer, fall) are to be affixed to which movies or episodes). ebr 16184 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Hi. I don't see documentaries as a different content type. Rather, it is really just a genre so what you want is a way to view genres across different types...
denzoid 57 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 I have my documentaries as separate libraries, Documentary Films, Documentary TV, Documentary Music.
