raudraido 48 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Hi, I do not understand what is the purpose of changing other users profile settings in Emby as a admin. I'm changing other users profile theme settings from dark to something else but it does not change that user theme. I have tried every possible way, still no result. Am I missing something or is it a bug?
Luke 42083 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Hi, some of the user settings are separate for each device, so that's why it might not appear to take effect when doing that. The theme is one example.
raudraido 48 Posted January 8, 2020 Author Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) I do not uderstand. I made a new user with my admin account and changed that user profile theme. After that I logged in first time with that new user, still no change in theme. Can you explain when changing other user profile setting actually works, in what condition? ebr 16187 Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 Hi. Can you please explain exactly what you did? I just tested that scenario and it worked for me (changed user's theme via my admin panel then logged in as that user and got the theme chosen). You are doing this on the same machine in the same browser, correct?
raudraido 48 Posted January 10, 2020 Author Posted January 10, 2020 I created new user in Emby web. Afterwards I logged in in the same machine but different browser. Hi. Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 I created new user in Emby web. Afterwards I logged in in the same machine but different browser. Each browser will have their own cache so a different browser would need its own theme applied.
Luke 42083 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 The settings screens need to do a better job of communicating what they apply to, in terms of whether it's just to the current app/device or all devices.
