External subtitles cut off

This issue was looked at already in this thread here, http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/6971-external-subtitles/, and was apparently solved (the issue of the bottom line of external subtitles being cutoff). The solution said to delete COMObjects\LastChecked.txt, but after I did that it still cuts off external subtitles for me. I can see the very top of them being displayed, so they are playing, but I can't see them properly. Is there a manual way for me to tell XySubFilter that it should present multi-line text subtitles as a single image? I couldn't find a way to access xysubfilter options.
