atrpm 3 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Hello, I'm having an issue where emby is showing played content on the continue watching section... the issue started when I upgrade from the previous beta builds (before 4.3.1.0) to 4.3.1.0. I tried uninstalling/installing the trakt plugin but that is not the issue... play states are reported correctly in trakt. Here is an image...
BAlGaInTl 288 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I think I've seen this too.... but is it possible that it's from items that have been "watched", but then you start watching them again? I'll check my server when I get home today.
Luke 42085 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 That by itself is not a sign of a problem. You can have a resume point for something you've already seen before.
atrpm 3 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Yes that is not my case, I have only played this media once... let me be more specific. I just ran a few more test and I think the issue is related to the trakt plugin... here is an scenario: 1. Start playing some media on Emby. 2. Stop playing the media. 3. Resume and complete watching the media. 4. Run the Trakt tasks... sync library, import playstates (in that order). Even though I have only played the media once... it shows as played and pending at the same time. If I look at my trakt dashboard it shows 1 PLAY for the media and it shows completed, but Emby is getting confused somehow.
atrpm 3 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Also, if I mark any of that media as played on Emby it get reset back to that weird state after the trakt import playstates task is ran.
Luke 42085 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 The data must be coming from Trakt then. If you remove that plugin and restart the server, then set your watch states accordingly, then everything is normal, right?

If you remove that plugin and restart the server, then set your watch states accordingly, then everything is normal, right? That is correct Luke, that was my initial thought, it has to be coming from Trakt. But I go to the dashboard, make sure that playstates are properly set on trakt and then run the tratk tasks and it's still does this. I can live without the trakt plugin I just hope I never have to reset my server lol
Luke 42085 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 There are some open requests for changes to the trakt plugin in the plugins section so i would keep an eye on those. Thanks.
BAlGaInTl 288 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 So I can confirm that I'm seeing the same thing and also use the Trakt plugin. Not a huge deal for me, but now I won't be able to unsee it. I use it to keep my production and testing servers watch status close to the same.
