Adjust "My Downloads" position on home screen

On Android (I'm assuming iOS also), there is no way to change which section the "My Downloads" list will appear in. I think this should be treated like every other list where we can choose which section we want it displayed.

I think there should be a way to move it to a different position or just hide it completely from my home screen. It's something I always have full of media but I rarely use because Emby is smart enough to prefer downloaded content over remote content when I pick it from X library I choose.

I know this is an old thread but I recently switched back to Emby after a few years back on Plex and whilst most of the emby experience is great, having downloads show up right under Continue Watching (on Android) does not make sense to me as there's also a button in the bottom bar that also provides access. It would be great if Downloads would be its own section under Home Screen  so it can either be disabled or moved down to the bottom.

Trying to bump this up again. Every other section BESIDES downloads can be manipulated, whether it be changing position, hiding it entirely, etc. 

 

I try to keep a clean home page, and Emby always sticking the downloaded content right below the library list is incredibly frustrating. Hopefully some time can be put into giving an option for users to manipulate download section on home screen.

Hi, the reason for this is that the settings are on the server, where downloads no not exist. So that’s just clarifying why you can configure everything else.

There shouldn't be any reason we can't use the server to store the user's preferences for how their home screen should be displayed... whether or not the server knows about the download section should be irrelevant, no?

I'm not sure yet. The sections are saved on the server. Downloads is client-side only.

Well it wouldnt have to be saved to the server, it could be a per-device override thats only stored on the device, if possible?
