tifelspazjali 6 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Hello firends i am a new emby user and i am wondering if there is anything the explains how the age ratings map to those used by Emby as i think I have a problem. i have a user who has the restriction on his account to allow him to see GB-R18 items and below. But he is not able to see speciifc series that are rated 16, 18 or 19. How can this be? Appreciating all inputs
Luke 42077 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Hi, how are they rated in your series metadata?
tifelspazjali 6 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Hi, how are they rated in your series metadata? here is an example. he cannot see this show but my understanding is that 18 is lower than R-18 and should be shown
Luke 42077 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Ok no, we're treating them as the same so that would be why. Generally speaking any rating with a number in it will be treated the same as if the rating were just the number. And the reason for that is because sometimes that's all users have in their metadata because that's just how it was from wherever they got it.

tifelspazjali 6 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Yes you should be able to see them. thanks to you @@Luke so we agree there is a problem? can it be fixed?
Luke 42077 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Can you please go over an example in detail? Thanks.
tifelspazjali 6 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 Can you please go over an example in detail? Thanks. hi @@Luke, i think all the information is in this thread but i will link it together i have a user that has a maximum allowed rating of GB-R18 as can be seen in post #5 he has access to a library and i noticed that he cannot see all if the series so i investgated and found that a number of items rated either 16, 18, or even 19 are hidden from his view. Above in post #3 is shown one of the shows he cannot see. the link on the page can be followed to tmdb where the rating of 18 is confirmed. i can post more of the shows that cannot be seen but i am not sure it would help more? please let me know if it would
