JimCartlidge 0 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 (edited) Looking at moving over from Plex. I'm importing my collection of films - but have two which were originally released as a two part mini TV series, but have been amalgamated into a film. Both imported fine in Plex, but i cannot get emby does not recognise them as they are in my film's folder. They both appear in MovieDB and IMDB as mini-series. Is there a way i can override this behaviour and import them automatically, or do i have to manually edit the metadata? Thanks Edited January 5, 2020 by JimCartlidge
Solution Happy2Play 9782 Posted January 5, 2020 Solution Posted January 5, 2020 Movie content type only queries the /movie side of TMDB so no as your item will be in /tv. But if the item has existing metadata then you should not have any issues importing. The TMDB id will be linked wrong as it will never look at /tv on TMDB. Might work with OMDB, but would need a specific example to test. 1
Luke 42081 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Has this addressed your concern? You could still organize it as a TV special, but currently it will not pull internet metadata.
JimCartlidge 0 Posted January 5, 2020 Author Posted January 5, 2020 yes it has thanks - i've only got two films like this - so i'll go down the metadata route as they are stand alone items (Salem's Lot, and Day of the triffids) Thanks for your quick feedback.
GregMo 24 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 (edited) Ah yeah, Salem's Lot brought me here too :-) I just put the data in by hand. Not too terrible a task for just one movie. Well, right after I posted this I went to add the show Psych to the library along with it's two movies. Now's it's starting to frustrate just a tiny bit, lol. Edited September 10, 2020 by GregMo
