Theodore 136 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 I reported this in another thread but it got missed so I am starting over with a new one: Please provide a method to disable Screen Mirroring. In one of the last couple of versions, the ability to NOT mirror selections when navigating from another device (i.e. a browser or phone/tablet app session) to the primary display was removed. Previously if I was using my browser to select something to watch I could leave my primary MPC (with Emby Theater) connected as the display device and it would stay on the home screen. This was selectible via a check box when engaging the Play On option - and remembered between sessions thankfully. That meant if I browsed through various links and shows, the MPC would stay where it was and wait for the command to start playing. Now however the Screen Mirror is permanently engaged and the MPC follows through the links even if it is to media that is hidden/restricted from that login (i.e. the MPC login can view up to PG-13 but if I click to something R or NC-17 the MPC shows it anyways). Please bring back the method to NOT allow screen mirroring - or if I just don't see it somewhere, how do I disable it? And I have to say it that because of the mirroring following to ANYTHING that is selected, this is a HIGH priority issue to me. Thank you!
Luke 42080 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Yes it's always possible to bring this back. Thanks for the feedback.
Theodore 136 Posted March 22, 2020 Author Posted March 22, 2020 Yes it's always possible to bring this back. Thanks for the feedback. I see that 4.4.0.40 is now out. Did this get fixed? Why did navigation mirroring get dropped in the first place?
Luke 42080 Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 It hasn't changed at this point, sorry. It got dropped because I wanted to simplify the dialog and I looked at a lot of other casting apps and this is something that most just seem to do without any settings. Perhaps an option in the app settings could be possible though, just not in the dialog.

Perhaps an option in the app settings could be possible though, just not in the dialog. That would actually be BETTER than in the dialog - in my opinion at least. I would think this is something that would be desired universally on the installation, or maybe even better would be to put it in the user's profile? That way each user can have their option.
Theodore 136 Posted June 2, 2020 Author Posted June 2, 2020 It's possible for the future. Thanks. I noticed that in the most recent release this is *STILL* an issue. Can you please get this disabled in the next release?
