Emby on Qnap TS-451+

Hi all,

I am new to Emby Premium so please be gentle.

I have been using Plex for sometime but it is time to change to a new server.

Qnap T-451+ Firmware: 4.4.1.1146

I have been trying to install Emby Server on my Qnap without success, I will list what I have tried.

I contacted Qnap who tell me Emby it is not the official Qnap app but they did send me some download and install instructions as per the attachment below.

I followed the instructions and when I proceeded to install the file I received a warning that HD Station was not running and the install could not proceed.

I started HD station running and the only way I could install the file was using the HD station manual install setting not the one in the App center.

The install proceeded with success and the Emby Icon shows up but only within the HD Station App, When I open the Emby App nothing happens, When I right click it tells me the App is running.

I have looked through lots of content and Googled Googled Googled with no success.

I do hope you can help as I would like to transition my files over to Emby.

All help appreciated.

Cheers

Paul

Hi, we're working on getting the server listed in the QNAP app store, but until we do, the only supported install method we have is what is listed on our website:

https://emby.media/nas-server.html

Please try that. Thanks.

Thanks Luke,

Sometimes things are hidden in plain site, I looked at this site multiple times but missed the drop down box for Qnap.

This has worked and Emby seems to be up and running, I will configure it over the next few days.

It would be great to see Emby as a official App.

Cheers Again
