kreeturez 27 Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 (edited) Can confirm today's release also sorts out the occasional seeking issues I was having (both with the drag-and-drop slider as well as with the FF/REW buttons). My last usability request is doing some kind of an auto-library-refresh if more than, say, an hour (or a user-configurable duration) has passed since the last one. tmb4016 93 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 Great app and thanks for the effort so far ... Got the much awaited app and initial impressions were great. Looks great, works great... but I've got a bit of an issue with the library referesh ... I've recently added some content to the library - all other clients show it almost immediately the ipad app howerver does not. It is not consistent however ... Some newly added content does seem to show in the folder section however it is not visible under the movie view (yes it is a movie) or in the search. Other occasions it shows in the recent section of the home but no where else including the search .... It also varies per user (not a differecne in parental control) Other clients see the newly added content immediately. It may just take time on this client but not convinced as this content was added on Sunday and I see no reason for it to be user specific and so slow. Any assistance would be appreciated.

JohnVee 18 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 After the latest update, the movies section still takes between 30-45 seconds to populate. This happens both on the iPad 2 and iPad mini (non retina) with about 1400 movies.

I've scanned these posts, but I apologise in advance if it's already been mentioned. When using the iPad app as a remote control (on two different clients: one for media browser theatre and one for media browser classic), I can pause the movie with the app but can not unpause - the icon doesn't swicth back to a triangle (assuming it ever did). My only option is to stop the movie and resume from where it was left off. Maybe this was always like this and I never noticed, but it seems unlikely.Again, apologies if it's already been brought up.

We did notice that the forward/rewind button doesn't work in the latest release, possibly introduced by a regression. it will be marked as high priority issue and fixed in the next update. The slider does work, but the sensitivity seems to be low, so for smaller seeks it doesn't seem to work. It is quite annoying when coupled with the forward/rewind issue so both these issues with be fixed in the next update. Can you please elaborate the issue related to resume videos? This is the first that am hearing this. Watched button works, if you mark a movie watched and go back to the list, it does not reflect that it is watched as the list is cached and you need to pull to refresh to get the latest data. Caching was our primary need so we decided to handle this issue on the future updates. We have drafted out a way to handle this issue, the implementation will be underway soon (probably after the first few critical fixes). Until then, the users will have to periodically pull to refresh to get latest items. Although, if the user goes back to detail it will be marked as completed as that is a realtime call. Please note that, with iOS apps we have limited beta testers support unlike other platforms so we have to, in someways, rely on end users like you reporting these issues. We appreciate that you have taken time to report these issues. We have scheduled periodic updates that will fix some of these critical issues. I am also experiencing the resume issue. I was watching a TV show, and I locked my iPad for a moment. When I went to resume it the time bar/slider indicated it was at the proper position, but it was in fact starting the show from the beginning. Also if I move the slider to a different location it stays where I move it, but once again starts the show from the beginning. I hope this is helpful.
