igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Hi all, All right with you? I am having trouble updating movie images on my server. I choose the image and it is in infinite loop, not low. Does anyone else have this problem?
Luke 42078 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Hi there, please attach the emby server log. Thanks.
igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Hi @@Luke I am using on a CentOS VPS. Would you know where the logs are? I searched and did not find
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Near the bottom of the Emby Dashboard menu (under "Advanced") is the "Logs" link. You can then right-click and save the required logs and attach them to a post in this forum. Paul
igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Sorry, I expressed myself wrong. I do not know where the log files are saved on Linux.
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 You don't need to know - just follow the above instructions to find the Emby logs through Emby's own interface.
igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Right. I did the above process and got to the logs through the interface. But unfortunately my log file is too large, it is impossible to download. Is there another way?
Luke 42078 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Yes, restart the server, then reproduce the problem again, then use the latest log file and it should be smaller.
igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 hi @@Luke I was successful in saving a portion of the logs. Could you check for me, please? logs.txt
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 (edited) That's surprising... Sure, it's usually too large to copy and paste as text into a forum post - so what's required is to download a copy from Emby, as a file, and then use the forum facility to attach files to posts (you may need to click "More Reply Options" to see it). OK, you managed it as I typed... Edited January 2, 2020 by pwhodges
Luke 42078 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 hi @@Luke I was successful in saving a portion of the logs. Could you check for me, please? What time in this log file did you try and update an image?
igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 @@pwhodges Thank you for your help. Do you also understand the log file?
igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 I tried a little while ago. Image is looped. File with a snippet of logs attached. logs.txt
Luke 42078 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Please attach the complete log file rather than a snippet. Thanks.

igeoorge 26 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 Hi @@Luke I have a server for testing and when testing for it, I realized that is normal. Could you find any errors in the logs?
pwhodges 2012 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 @@pwhodges Do you also understand the log file? Well, as a (retired) computer professional, yes, in principle. But I know nothing of the internals of Emby, so my interpretation may be way off - you'd do best to wait for the developers to comment.
Luke 42078 Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 Full log file attached. During the time of this log file, what time did you try to update images? I don't see any of that activity here.
igeoorge 26 Posted January 3, 2020 Author Posted January 3, 2020 I restarted the server and then I tried to update an image
