tomnjerry74 97 Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Hello, I have a TV series I've ripped from DVDs. When playing, it is clearly interlaced. However, in emby it is not recognized as interlaced content and says "interlaced: no". I have other interlaced content that is detected just fine; only this series is giving me this problem. I think it's also important to mention, VLC is not able to detect it on its own either. I have deinterlaced set to automatic, and only for this series it does not trigger deinterlacing. When I manually set it though, the video looks great. Here is a sample clip: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QHAUJtKNskUJPOOh-g-ZYiGzIlvGnkHH/view?usp=sharing
Guest asrequested Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 It's misidentified in the header as progressive. 1
Guest asrequested Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 I ran it through handbrake. It took about 5 seconds, and it fixed it.
tomnjerry74 97 Posted January 2, 2020 Author Posted January 2, 2020 (edited) I ran it through handbrake. It took about 5 seconds, and it fixed it. Could you please elaborate on running it through handbrake? I'm aware of how to deinterlace content by transcoding with handbrake. But I like to keep all of my rips raw and untouched. Is there a way to only edit this information in the header? Thanks for the replies. Edit: I think it might be able to be done in MKVtoolnixgui. Testing right now. Edit 2: Nevermind, i'm still at a loss Edited January 2, 2020 by tomnjerry74
Solution Guest asrequested Posted January 2, 2020 Solution Posted January 2, 2020 I tried changing the headers, too. I just used this in handbrake. 1
