Set Chapters

Is there a way to set up chapters for a specific point in a video?  I have a home video I want to make chapters to start at a certain point in the video.

Hi, yes but you'd have to edit the embedded chapters within the video itself.

this can be done with ffmpeg and also with MKVToolNix

 

i would start with MKVToolNix first as it has a gui

 

you can import a text file (of the correct format) to add chapters to your video - takes a few seconds to process

no MKVToolNix will open most files - but will convert to mkv as the output
