I'm really enjoying this plugin, but am having an issue with excluding seasons by tag.

I'm trying to use this functionality to prevent TV Show Specials from appearing in a particular channel.

 

As an example, I have The Office Specials Season tagged with 'vtv-skip':

 

 

I have the 'Workplace Comedy' channel configured to always exclude the 'vtv-skip' tag:

 

 

But no matter how many guide refreshes I go through, I always end up with episodes from the 'Specials' Season in the channel:

 

Am I misunderstanding or misconfiguring something?

You need to enter "!vtv-skip" in "Tags:" field a bit lower down.

I also can no longer see my virtualtv channels on 4.7.0.35. They are completely gone.

The plugin is not dead! It's just dysfunctional in the last betas.

"Dead" as in "completely not working" rather than "no longer in development". I have no "live TV" library at all now.

No, it'll be mix together, the server will see the virtualTv as if they were regular channels

4.7 changes a bunch of core Emby services/interfaces/etc. this plugin depends on, so the plugin developer is working as fast as they can to rewrite significant elements of the plugin to accommodate the not particularly documented changes.

I know the big picture, I'm just thinking in terms of timeframes...are we talking weeks? Months? Be nice to have some sort of idea of where the patching-up is at.

I was hoping my post would add some perspective on expectations versus appreciation for the extensive updates to this free plugin for an Emby release that doesn't exist yet.

I don't have expectations, I'd just like to acquire some. Getting them from the plugin dev is a better way of doing so than just making ones up.

I'm not making demands, or anything like that. Just asking if there's anything approaching a ballpark idea of where we're at. I have no clue what's going on under the hood so anything from "it should be ready in a week" through "it might take a year or two" all the way up to "it won't ever happen" is entirely plausible, and I'm just asking if that range can be narrowed at all.

It's only the beta server that causes the problem right?  If so you have a solution.

Beta's  come with risk that they can break or change functionality of 3rd party software that will require some things to be reworked.
