Because you are using both Android apps on the same device. That sometimes confuses the server. Log out off the app that you do not plan to use or uninstall the app.

I can't, unfortunately, because each still has significant issues. I never ran into the issue on the ATV app, even with the standard app installed. So I guess this is one of those app-specific significant issues.

That being said, I also just had the same thing on my phone, and my phone has only the one app installed...

Hello! Thank you to all the Emby team for their hard work with Emby and to @pünktchenwith the VirtualTV plugin.  Truly awesome work, which I appreciate daily!

May I ask if the following experiences are due to my own failures, or my lack of knowledge, or just not supported, please?

1. Emby app crashes on Samsung TV when opening the VirtualTV 'Guide' view from the top menu.  A "V" or similar character shows in centre of screen - I have to exit the app
   (This behaviour not experienced on iOS, Chrome and Windows app)

2. For TV Shows is there a way to show the Series/Episode numbers and/or episode title in the VirtualTV guide grid? I only see the show title by default
   (I see options to toggle view of Channel Number, 4K, HD, Live, New, Premiere, Repeat)

3. I created Emby Guide Data source using VirtualTV in place of Tuners to see if this would help with point 2. above, but it didn't  

My setup is:

 - Emby beta 4.9.1.3 on Synology NAS DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 3
  - All VirtualTV channels are Playlist (Live) and using rules - 
 - Emby for Samsung 2.1.2
 - Samsung QLED's (QE55Q9FNA & UE50DU8000KXXU)
 - Emby for Windows 2.234.2.0
 - EMby for iOS 2.2.40

You've already given yourself the answer: it must a be a problem specific to the Samsung app. Please create a new thread in the corresponding forum section.

Do they show up in the program details screen? If yes, then you're done. What you can see in grid cells is up to the Emby devs.

Wanted to piggyback on this, I'm also running into the issue of black screen for 1:00 minute instead of the actual content when playing a channel. Playlist (Live). I'm only logged into one app on my TV so I'm not entirely sure what the issue is.

Not completely sure what you're asking but the issue only occurs in the  Android TV app, and only when I try play media from the VirtualTV plugin, playback works fine when playing media from the library directly.

And you've used the same connection details in the browser and the tv app? I mean IP/hostname or domain name and local Emby user account vs. Emby Connect.

Do you have set a maximum streaming limit for your Emby server or the Emby user?

I finally bit the bullet and gave this a try and its very impressive, i have setup multiple channels and so far, it is testing perfectly and looks great. I am however having one issue though, excluding genres with the logical operator is not working, it either fails completely when used alone (e.g. !Animation) and if i try to use it in sequence (e.g. Romance && Comedy !Animation) it just hangs when clicking save and preview.

Am I using that operator correctly?

I worked it out, had to use another set of && to make it Romance && Comedy && !Animation.

Not sure why the single exclusion is not working though?

I have one of my channels set to "Random Series, Ordered Episodes Playback". Whenever I have to do a refresh of the guide it starts everything back at the first episodes. I tried looking back through old posts to see if there had been a fix for this or not.

I guess you have also set "Watched & Unwatched" episodes, so what else should happen?

So, from my understanding... If I want a channel that is nothing but sports movies that are based on a true story (Miracle, Remember the Titans, Invincible, A League of Their Own, etc) or music (Amadeus, Bohemian Rhapsody, Walk the Line, etc) then I need to comb thru my entire collection and add the Sport and Music genres, yes? There is not an easier way that I am not seeing?

Also, I am unable to use collections as a source as it ignores whatever I put in the box for the collection name

Hello, Is it possible to add (Random Movie Chapters) from a Movies library in Virtual TV plugin. So that that users can watch random movies clips which could give an idea what to watch next instead of playing whole movies playlist.
