That explains it all. Except for bumpers, Home Videos & Photos is not supported anywhere in the plugin.

Ignore my last question.  How do I disable the Channel Primetime?  Every time I enter 00:00 it reverts to 12:00.

Must be a regional thing of your OS or browser (12:00 AM = 00:00). What is written to the VirtualTV.xml config file?

What does disabling it do?  I was hoping it will make it more like a dynamic playlist.

Hi, firstly thank you for this plugin. It allows me to try and recreate some of the great stuff I had as a kid for my own family.

However I have noticed one issue. On Apple TV when I play a channel and the show ends, it doesnt continue to the next show. It goes back to the channel screen.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I think yes as long as you do not edit and save that channel in the GUI.

(New) program guide entries will start at the time of the guide refresh instead of the prime time.

That was my suspicion. I'm waiting for a confirmation from the Emby devs that this should work on Apple TV. Until then you could try "Playlist (Archive)".

I will try that - but I apologise for asking but whats the difference between the two?

@TariqK The main dev said all necessary things are already in the code for the Apple TV app, but it's untested. So either it doesn't work at all for Apple TV or it doesn't work in my plugin. You could test PseudoTV instead. No matter which one you do like more, please report your findings about playback.

Hello --

Thaks for a great plugin. We use it nearly everyday in our house.  I was wondering if there was a way to add a specific date to turn on/off a channel.  We have various holiday themed channels (Christmas movies, Christmas TV, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc). It would be great to set a specific date (Dec 1 on Dec 31st off for Christmas, etc.). 

I didn't know if there was a way to automatically integrate this into a channel.

As it is manual addition/subtraction works fine.  Thanks again for a wonderful plugin.

While it may not be exactly what you're asking for, I simply enable the channel and likewise disable it once the season is over.

But in the recent version of the plugin, there can be a lot more checkboxes depending on the user count. So i think it's a good idea and should be easy to implement.

Just discovered this plug in today and love it, fantastic work @pünktchen!
One suggestion I'd like to make is to have an option for TV Shows to display their episode name and/or season/episode number in the guide. Would make browsing more fun and tempt me to dip into favourite episodes, etc.

It does, except for the sort option "ordered episode playback" because the "next unwatched" episode could have changed at any time between two guide refreshes and also the guide refresh would have to be executed after any episode playback to reflect the watched state for consecutive program entries.

I'm using the sort option Premiere Date Ascending but still not seeing any episode titles/numbers... I'm also including watched and unwatched episodes.

The Guide view is the main place I was hoping to see it. It does show episode names in the On Now row in Programmes or on the Emby home screen. This is the same whether I'm looking on the browser version, iPhone or on my TV (Samsung).

Understand. In both Android apps on a TV device and the Windows app there's a section above or under the guide grid for the highlighted program with all that info. But it's also missing on a Android phone - there's just not enough space for the extra info. That's probably also the reason why the info is not within the grid cells - not enough space. Anyway, plugins cannot manipulate the GUI. You'll have to ask in the Samsung forum section why that info above the guide grid is missing.

New version 2.1.5.0 in the plugin catalogue:

Channels:

• Added option to (auto)enable channels on a specific date range
• Fixed some issues around the recently introduced option to enable channels for selected users

Export API:

• Fixed a rare exception when exporting real live tv with the option "Try to match program entries to library items for catchup streams" enabled
• Improved playback start of "catch up streams" with Kodi addons

The plugin should auto update, no manual download from the catalog is required.
As usual, you should clear your browser cache before opening the plugin config page.
Because of the changes some of your channel settings will get lost!
