Thanks for the update. All new features work great on my WIN11 Server and Samsung TV Client

But I noticed some bugs in the Fire TV/Android apps after the update:

After a series/movie has finished and the bumper should start playing, the video always stops or the bumper continues to play but the following series no longer plays.
I think android can not cope with the new update of the plugin.

I had the same problem on my Samsung TV, but I was able to solve this problem by changing the container format from TS to mp4, in the Emby settings on the server.

But unfortunately the problem cannot be solved this way on Android.

I think only the programmers of the Android app can fix the problem, right? Because your new update runs without problems on Windows and Samsung TV.

i have studios with similar names one has "!" as part of the name and the other doesn't I just want the channel to play shows from the studio with "!" 

Example: studio: "A!" and "AA"

how do I set it to only play shows from "A!" and not "AA" without using a wildcard?

I don't think it's possible at all right now. I'll have to adjust the code so you can escape the exclamation mark within a name.

I'm having issues with the blank screen running for a minute and then never loading the show on Emby's preferred Google TV app but can still use it just fine on the old one. That said, it seems impossible for me to add M*A*S*H to a channel. I suspect it's due to the asterisks but I've tried every possible way to get it in there and it just doesn't work. Other than that, I love the new ordered/random feature and it has become a nightly routine for me to watch a little tv this way. Thank you so much!

This sometimes happens if both Android apps are used on the same device. Normally a simple reboot of the device solves the problem. Always make sure to really exit the apps, do not just switch to the home screen. If the reboot doesn't help, just uninstall one of the apps.

Yes. See my answer above your post. For the time beeing, just add a Tag to the MASH tv show.

Hey gang. I firstly want to say that this plugin is literally the best reason to turn my tv on. I have been able to create over 100 channels from my movie and tv library and thankfully, there is always something great on. Thank you so much, pünktchen. This is truly a gift. I have a slightly technical question, that I am not sure there is a good answer for, but I figured I would ask anyway. I am trying to create a channel in the style of old MTV. I have about 4000 music videos, as well as 300 or so live concert specials and I also have been collecting old MTV shows like Remote Control, House of Style and The Week in Rock. My question is, is there a way to put all of this together in one channel? My reason for asking is that I can't figure out how to have a channel with Music Videos and with television shows and movies, which is how most of the live concerts are designated. I imagine I could create a playlist with everything, but then I have no control over how random each things plays. In a perfect world I would want to play 20 music videos and then 1  concert or tv show. I know that's probably not possible but I wanted to ask if I am missing something. 

Also, in the web version of Emby, since updating to 2.1.0, when I try to add the folders for my bumpers I now cannot do it as the option does not exist any longer. Is this a known issue or am I not doing something properly? I have included a screenshot of what I see in the Bumper section.

@pünktchenI just tried this plugin after a long time of using a old version and there have been some awesome improvements! Thanks a lot for this.

I am however missing a way to decide which specific bumpers to use for a specific channel. Before it could be defined by path, for example "/tvbumbers/Genres/Comedy". But right now it is only possible to do by library which means that I would have to have 10 bumper libraries for each channel. Would it possible to add filtering by tag or path to be able to decide which bumper(s) to use in each channel?

Hello, loving this app so far, but encountering a repeating issue. Every few channels I add, I end up with ones that will not refresh and load in the guide. Was is the best practice to try and remedy this? I've tried restarting the server, refreshing the guide, force refreshing the guide, and redoing the channel with variables (selecting genre, or collection, or playlist)

For bumper configuration, how do we differentiate videos and bumpers? I have my own [as] channels running and want to use bumpers for bumps and videos for commercials if possible.

That is not possible. Currently not even with playlists. It would make things really complicated. For example one user maybe likes to have "Music Videos" -> "TV Shows" -> "Movies", but an other user maybe wants "TV Shows" -> "Music Videos" -> "Movies"

The visibiliy is tied to the access permissions of the selected Emby library user.

The idea was to select from multiple folders that where added as paths to the home videos & photos libraries.

For the most recent channel, no. It just gives me a spinning circle and never moves past that. Not sure where the issue lies as the videos included in the collection all work/play without any issues

So it's only collection based that makes trouble? Are the videos in question real video files or strm files?

It was doing it with playlist as well. They are all real video files. I believe all are MP4 to be exact.

Hi All. Can someone explain to me how the user permissions work with this plugin? I'm using the latest plugin from the plugin store.

The problem I'm seeing is that when more than 1 user is given access via the `Enable this channel for selected Users(s):` None of the users can view the channels
An example.

I enable "Dave" on channel 1,2,3,4,5
I login as dave and all the channels are present and it works fine

I then enable "Karen" on channel 1,2,3,4,5
None of the channels are there for Karen, nor are they there for Dave

Checking under Users>Karen>Parental Control> There is a section with " Restrict Items With Tags" and under that is "VirtualTV Dave"

In testing, if Dave has access to channel 1,2,3, & Karen has access to 4,5 that seems to work fine.

One way to get it to work for all users but for a short period (until the channel refresh happens) is just to configure one user with access to the channels and then remove the "Restrict Items With Tags" from every user account.

What am i missing? Have i misunderstood how this is supposed to work?
